VMJ038 old 144 tile, 30/70 bone and bamboo set in shallow wood box 27x18cm, slide top. Delicate carving shown in the sparrow (1 bamboo) tile and pointed strings of cash like eyes. All hand carved, and complete. Very likely to be Republican (first half of 20th century). Some original tiles have probably been replaced at some stage with similar tiles.
