Our Sets

Based in Shanghai, the turn-of-the-century capital of mahjong, we have an obsession for collecting vintage sets made in China for Chinese players. They were made in so many different workshops and factories, each set we find has a character of its own. If that were not enough, our British boss has also collected vintage sets made in China but produced for the British market and we’ve added a selection of those here too. With all this collecting and playing we then felt the need to put together our own sets. Using vintage narrow loom cotton fabrics we designed our own mahjong bag and filled it with either vintage tiles or new and a drawstring pouch with new scoring sticks and dice.
